What is metal stamping?

According to the metal stamping process, stamping dies can be divided into five categories: punching and shearing die, bending die, tensile and elongation die, forming die, and compression die.

  1. Punching and shearing die: It is used to complete the work by shearing. Commonly used forms include shearing die, blanking die, piercing die, trimming die, flash trimming die, drawing die, and punch die.
  2. Bending die: It is a shape that bends the flat blank into an angle. Depending on the shape, precision, and production volume of the parts, there are many different forms of dies, such as ordinary bending die, cam bending die, curling die, arc bending die, bending and slotting die, and twisting die, etc.
  3. Tensile and elongation die: It is to make a flat blank into a seamless container with a bottom.
  4. Forming die: refers to the use of various local deformation methods to change the shape of the blank in the form of convex forming die, curling forming die, neck shrinking forming die, hole flange forming die, and round edge forming die.
  5. Compression die: It uses strong pressure to make the metal blank flow and deform into the desired shape. The types include extrusion die, embossing die, impression die, end compression die.

  3. What are the functions of the precision terminal?

  5. What are the differences between precision stamping parts and ordinary stamping parts?
    Precision stamping requires high precision of parts in processing production. Cutting, crimping, or forming must be matched with suitable molds, precision punch, materials, etc.
    Ordinary stamping for precision requirements of stamping parts is not too high. The substrate thickness is thick, and precision forming processes such as cutting and stretching are not required. Ordinary stamping can be used when both the single quantity requirement of the product and the precision requirement is low.
